So far, our experience in several studios is that 7.3.1 is more stable than 7.2 or 7.3.0. (In 7.2 and 7.3.0 at times the PT GUI gets all jumbled up beyond recognition). One thing that 7.3.1 fixes is the video bug when you use the smart tool. Ok, the issue was most probably due to the video material (OMF, MPG-50, MXF and other formats all mixed up in a AAF file) so if you only do audio you won't have this issue but it is good to know that this obscure bug seems to have been fixed. We got the show dumped to tape with literaly minutes to spare. Luckily I called a collegue who is at a sister studio on the other side of town and asked him to load the session in PT 7.3.1 (we are connected through a fiber ring so we have access to the same disks). To make a long story short, it was impossible to continue.

Tried, loading a previous version and some of the auto-save versions of the session. I did all the usual tricks (dumping all Databases and catalogues. PT crashes even before the session is entirely loaded. Restart the whole system, powercycle the 192 I/O/V10/Sync I/O and load up the session again.

At about 19:00, PT 7.2.1 freezes and stops responding. After various issues on the Avid side, I was working on a very tight deadline. 7.3.1 HD saved the day today! I was working on a TV show that was to air at 20:30 today (Tapes having to be in at 19:00 officialy). I'm far too busy to get bogged down with a buggy version, but I'm experiencing a couple of things in 7.2.1 that I'm hoping have been fixed in the new version. I'm particularly interested in anyone running HD with PT 7.3, but please, all users report. Sorry, I can't (won't) share your pain(s) just yet.
